2. What do I need to run Joe Grip's tutorials?

• You need a standard web browser (IE, Netscape etc.)
• You need the Macromedia flash player installed (version 5.0 or later) Get Flash Player.
• You need a working sound card.
• You need a standard modem connection to access the Internet (56K recommended - 28.8K will work, although there may be intermittent pauses as the audio catches up.)

3. Do I need Sound?

Yes. We use streaming audio in our tutorials. To be sure that your system supports our tutorials please run through our free samples first.

4. Do I need Flash?

Yes. Our tutorials are developed in Flash. You need the Flash player version 5.0 or later. Most browsers should already have this Get Flash Player. To be sure that your system supports our tutorials please run through our free samples first.

5. What kind of Internet connection do I need?

Standard Modem connection or better. Joe Grip uses streaming technology. The tutorials begin to play while they are being downloaded. The tutorials are designed to run over standard 56K modem connections. Slower connections will still work although you will experience intermittent pauses as the audio streaming catches up.

Please test your ability to run our tutorials by running our free samples.

Also be aware that other factors, like general or intermittent slowness due to standard Internet traffic can affect your speed.

6. Can multiple people use the same account to view the tutorials?

No. We sell only single user licenses. You cannot share, transfer or sell your membership. Please note that our systems do log multiple simultaneous access to accounts. Your access may be disabled automatically if the system suspects that too many users are accessing the same account.

Note: Viewing the tutorials from multiple locations (e.g. home, work, school) is perfectly fine.

7. Can I cancel my membership?

You can cancel within the first 5 days of your membership if you have not yet logged in to view the tutorials.

8. Can I transfer my membership?

No. Memberships are for single individuals; you cannot share, transfer or sell your membership.

9. How long is my membership?

You have access for 180 days (approx. 6 months) from the day you sign up with us.

14. Do I need to be a programmer to understand your tutorials?
No. Our tutorials are designed to be useful for both programmers and non-programmers. People with programming experience can skip the first few chapters.

15. Can I ask you technical questions regarding Java or C#?

Unfortunately we are unable to answer your technical questions. However you can find a wealth of information on line. Use the Resources link at the end each Module to find answers to your programmimg questions online.

16. How can I pay for my membership?

You can use your credit card for instant access to our Java and C# courses. We accept: VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

For the Java course, we use PayPal for our credit card payment processing. For the C# course, we use: 2Checkout.com. We will consolidate our cc processing in the near future.

We also accept checks or International Money Orders for our Java course (but not currently our C# course).

17. Can I still pay if I don't have a credit card?

Yes for our Java course only. You can pay by check or International Money Order. We accept checks drawn on U.S. banks. For International customer, we accept International Money Orders. Please follow our check payment instructions.

Yes. Joe Grip uses PayPal and 2Checkout.com for its credit card payment processing. Both companies accept credit cards from international customers.

Java customers can also pay via an International Money Order. Please see check payment instructions.
